Een oorzaak-gevolg scenario dat duizenden
kilometers overbrugt: wetenschappers uit San Diego hebben ontdekt dat oceaangolven die in
de Stille Oceaan langs de kust van Noord en Zuid-Amerika beginnen van invloed kunnen zijn
op het Zuidpoolijs en mogelijk een rol kunnen spelen in de dramatische afname daarvan.
Onderzoeker Peter Bromirski beschrijft hoe stormen over het noordelijke deel van de Stille
Oceaan genoeg golfenergie kunnen verplaatsen om het Zuidpoolijs te destabiliseren. Volgens
hem reizen door de wind gegenereerde golfpatronen (zgn. zeegangen) de hele Stille Oceaan
over om te breken op de kust van Noord en Zuid Amerika, waar ze veranderen in zeer lange
oceaangolven ("infragravity waves") die de lange afstand tot de Zuidpool kunnen
overbruggen.

Universiteit van Barcelona uit aan SINC. " Positief bekeken heeft de substantiële

onderzoekt het verband tussen verkeersongevallen en de toestand van de wegen in de winter,
in Zweden en in de West Midlands, UK. Andersson maakt onderscheid tussen 4 verschillende
soorten gladheid op de weg: van sneew en ijzel tot gladde ijsplekken bij temperaturen
boven het vriespunt. Zij bestudeert hoe klimaatsverandering de komende 90 jaren die
omstandigheden misschien zal beïnvloeden.
Wat is de echte oorzaak van het
smelten van de Himalaya gletsjers?
Een nieuwe studie aan het Internationaal
Lawrence Berkeley Laboratorium, het NASA Goddard Instituut voor Studies over de Ruimte, en
NCAR, toont aan dat aërosolen, uitgestoten door de mens, de enige hoofdoorzaak zijn voor
het smelten van de Himalaya gletsjers. (noot van de vertaler: Aërosolen hebben een direct
en indirect effect op het klimaat. Enerzijds doordat ze invallende straling van de zon

Het controversiële, jongste rapport van
IPCC, het VN-klimaatpanel dat in 2007 de Nobelprijs van de Vrede won, is opnieuw in
opspraak geraakt. De Britse krant The Sunday Telegraph onthulde zondag, dat het onder meer
op een scriptie van een student Aardrijkskunde en een artikel in een bergbeklimmerblad is
gebaseerd.

onderzoeksinstituut kreeg 2,5 miljoen euro van de Europese Unie om de gevolgen van de

It is nothing short of miraculous that Al Gore and his environmentalist henchmen were able
to pull off the scam of manmade global warming for so many years and get away with

The greater problem with such sham science is that politicans who have no clue how to
spend taxpayers money will throw bucks at anything which the Left purports will bring
about new jobs or clean up our dreadful suffocating environment. I wrote Senator Bill
Nelson of Florida a few months ago about the facts with respect to greenhouse gas
composition and the current global cooling cycle, but he was so brainwashed he could only
respond that we must do something now to prevent certain disaster especially to the
Florida coastline which would surely to be underwater before long. He is hopeless at this
point and needs to be retired during his next Senate run.
It is a shame that such a large number of
our children and many adults have been brainwashed to believe not only in global warming
but that Americans are responsible for it and must change which energy resources we use
and how much we expend in order to correct a problem which does not even exist! The REAL
scientific community knows quite well that for the past 12 years the Earth has actually
been cooling, and that cooling and warming cycles alternate largely under the influence of
our Sun as has always occurred. Greenhouse gases are mostly water vapor and CO2 is but a
tiny fraction of these gases. CO2 is necessary for plantlife to produce the oxygen we
breath, and most of it is produced by ocean plankton. The content of greenhouse gases has
shown a significant change over the centuries but in the opposite direction from that
promulgated by the environmental whackos. Huge amounts of atmospheric CO2 were present
long ago compared to today—just witness that pollution in America has significantly
diminished with the decline of factory smokestacks which once dominated our industrial
landscape and the reduced automobile emissions over the past couple of decades.

te hebben, te bediscussiëren en af te wegen, voordat men tot drastische maatregelen

rich countries to have larger emissions and more control over future talks within a
"circle of commitment" and have enraged delegates from developing countries. The
US, UK, and Denmark are among the countries included in the so-called "Danish
text." The document also sets unequal limits on per capita carbon emissions for
developed and developing countries in 2050; meaning that people in rich countries would be
permitted to emit nearly twice as much under the proposals. The secret draft agreement
worked on by a group of individuals known as "the circle of commitment" -
understood to include the UK, US and Denmark - has only been shown to a handful of
countries since it was finalised this week, The Guardian reports. The agreement, leaked to
the paper, is a departure from the Kyoto protocol's principle that rich nations, which
have emitted the bulk of the CO2, should take on firm and binding commitments to reduce
greenhouse gases, while poorer nations were not compelled to act. The draft hands
effective control of climate change finance to the World Bank; would abandon the Kyoto
protocol - the only legally binding treaty that the world has on emissions reductions; and
would make any money to help poor countries adapt to climate change dependent on them
taking a range of actions. The document was described last night by one senior diplomat as
"a very dangerous document for developing countries. It is a fundamental reworking of
the UN balance of obligations. It is to be superimposed without discussion on the
talks", the paper reports.

empowers Obama to mandate CO2 cuts in the economy, without a law from Congress; otherwise,
like Kevin Rudd, Obama was going to Hans Christian Andersen’s hometown of Copenhagen
as the emperor with no clothes.
To appreciate the ridiculous insanity of
the EPA’s declaration, consider the history of CO2:
CO2 levels were up to 7,000 parts per
million (ppm) during the Cambrian Period some 530 million ago. Known as the “Cambrian
explosion” this was the period when most major groups of complex life evolved.
A great Ice Age gripped the Earth some 450
million years ago, late in the Ordovician Period, causing mass extinction. At this time
the CO2 concentration was 4,400 ppm—nearly twelve times higher than the current
average concentration of 387 ppm. According to the global warming theory, the Earth should
have been exceedingly hot.
During the Carboniferous Period, some 300
million years ago, CO2 concentration declined to about 350 ppm—similar to the current
concentration.
During the Jurassic Period, some 170 million
years ago, CO2 concentration rose to 2,400 ppm and the dinosaurs survived just fine.
The atmosphere is now CO2 impoverished as it
was during the Carboniferous Period. Higher concentrations will only help life flourish.

environmental campaigner David Bellamy was born in London, England. He trained as a
botanist at Durham University, where he later held the post of Senior Lecturer in Botany
until 1982, and still holds the post of Honorary Professor for Adult and Continuing
Education. He was made Special Professor of Botany at the University of Nottingham in
1987. In October 2006 David joined the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition, a group of
scientists trying to refute what they believe are unfounded claims about man-made global
warming, In May 2007 Bellamy and Jack Barrett jointly authored a paper in the refereed
Civil Engineering journal of the Institution of Civil Engineers entitled Climate
stability: an inconvenient proof. In this report they argue that the widely prophesied
doubling of carbon dioxide levels from natural, pre-industrial levels was not only
unlikely but would also amount to less than 1 degree C of global warming. In June 2007,
The New Zealand Centre for Policy Research published an opinion piece by Bellamy stating
amongst other things that There are no facts linking the concentration of atmospheric
carbon dioxide with imminent catastrophic global warming.

American scientists are not “skeptics.” These scientists are instead convinced
that the human-caused global warming hypothesis is without scientific validity and that
government action on the basis of this hypothesis would unnecessarily and
counterproductively damage both human prosperity and the natural environment of the Earth.

previous 650 report) from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made
by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former Vice
President Al Gore. This new 2009 255-page U.S. Senate Minority Report -- updated from
2007’s groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the
so-called global warming “consensus” -- features the skeptical voices of over
700 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC
scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC. This updated report includes an
additional 300 (and growing) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release
in December 2007. The over 700 dissenting scientists are more than 13 times the number of
UN scientists (52) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers. The
chorus of skeptical scientific voices grow louder in 2008 and 2009 as a steady stream of
peer-reviewed studies, analyses, real world data and inconvenient developments challenged
the UN’s and former Vice President Al Gore's claims that the "science is
settled" and there is a "consensus." On a range of issues, 2008 and 2009
